Elder Richard Earl Haskell Jr.

Richard (pictured here with his good friends Josh Hicken and Erik Van Otten) received his Mission Call to serve in the Australia, Perth Mission on December 12th, 2007. He enters the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday April 2, 2008. He is excited to share his testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all those who will listen and to serve the people of Western Australia. We've looked forward to Richard's mission since before he was born. As he's grown we've seen that he will be a great missionary; he has a resolve and determination that is impressive, even to us, his parents. We love him and along with his sisters (Jessica, Becca and Lauren), brothers-in-law (Brandon and Justin) and niece (Kendall) we wish him well. We will all miss him terribly, but know that this is the right thing for him to do at the right time of his life.
Richard's desire to serve, to teach the gospel, to lead others in doing what is right, and to testify of Christ is the driving force of his life. He will be a great missionary.

Our intent is to post many of his letters and pictures to this blog so family and friends can keep up with him over the next two years. Write him often, send packages before his birthday (February 23) or Christmas so he can continue to feel of your love and support.
